But it was a win. The first win of the season.
A hard fought win that went down to the wire, down to the tie breaker, down to the last delivery.
Every member of the team made an important contribution. Every one stepped up to the plate, from Julian with his ‘Charlamagne’, to Malc and his ‘Rifleman’ (although let’s face it he is the only one old enough to have seen it), and finally Robin getting close to the atomic number of some obscure element nobody else had heard of in the tie-break. 51 pts out of a possible 70 with the tie-break gave us the cash prize that paid for the beer and more.
Perhaps we can expect more support for the next event?
