It was like being back at the Verulam School pitches; changing al fresco, while Watson circled waiting for a glimpse of something.
Due to the vagaries of seismic shift and glacial deposit Greenwood Park is less a plateau and more an unfriendly scarp slope running down to the A405 were turbo charged boy racers hurtle along at unedifying speeds, shortly followed by the sirens and flashing blues of a Paramedics ambulance.

Accurate bowling by Fishers opening pair of Boxer and Nairne, pinned back Vocalink, who found the pace and bounce difficult to contend with. As the pressure built a risky single to Boxer fielding at back ward leg, saw Ajay well beaten by a direct hit.
Nairne found a consistently good length and was rewarded for his accuracy and pace removing the opener, Pareem, for 10.
Tight bowling by Minchin, picked up the wicket of Anthony cheaply for 2. Vocalink 47 of 10 overs were feeling the pinch. A middle order partnership led by the strong hitting Yorkie James was gaining momentum before Yankie Alex was brought into the attack; Yorkie James hammered a straight on-drive feet above the ground, where upon the Tat the Cat flung himself to his left to snuff out Yorkies innings just as it promised to ignite and with it Yankie Alex’s first wicket for Fishers.
129 to win the target, Fisher’s set about their chase against accurate bowling nurdling and dabbing down the runs, wickets fell at regular intervals, Ramsey and Tatlocks running between wickets, looked as if they were batting on an airport travellator which was being intermittently turned on and off, causing them to stumble backwards and forwards. Ramsey falling to a call for a sharp single.
Nairne increased the run rate with a quickly amassed 17 and with 40 required off the last 4 overs Boxer hit a rapid 28 off 18 balls who together with Anil, 22 not out, saw Fishers home with 3 balls to spare.
